Healthcare Projects
After 75 years of independence, healthcare remains one of the sectors in Pakistan that is still underserved. People living below the poverty line cannot afford proper treatment. The public healthcare system faces many challenges such as insufficient funding, shortage of medicines, and lack of medical equipment. Pakistan spends about 38 US Dollars (USD) per person on healthcare, which is much lower than in other developed countries. Everyone has the basic human right to healthcare, and it is the government’s job to ensure it happens. Unfortunately, more than half of the population does not have access to even basic health services.

Al wasiyo Health Care
Health problems have worsened over time due to the high inflation rate. Along with, Pakistan lacks professional doctors, nurses, and medicines. About 32,879 doctors graduate every year in Pakistan, and 40% of them go abroad for better jobs. Medicines are too expensive in Pakistan. For example, the cost of 30 tablets for the treatment of lung cancer is fixed at Rs 846,857. Pakistan also faces a shortage of life-saving drugs.
By keeping eye on all above issues, Alwasiyo Welfare Society has initiated a great health care project aimed at providing better healthcare to people. Our main motive is, to provide free medicines and check-ups to unserved patients. Alwasiyo welfare society has set up several medical camps for check-ups. We also provide free blood banks to the needy patients across the country.
